Embrace Simplicity

Living a busy fast paced life equals a happy one. Not really! The idea of “slow living” has become more and more attainable. Living a simple life isn’t about denying yourself, actually you’re giving yourself more, by embracing what truly matters and finding joy in the little things!

5 things you can do today to help you embrace simplicity:

Mindful Mornings

Start your day off on a positive note. I can’t stress the fact enough, that mornings set the tone for your day. So create a morning routine that allows you to slow down and enjoy that time the way you like. For some ideas on what to do here are 9 Morning Routine Ideas.

Prioritize Your Time

Find out what’s really important to you and designate time for it. Although you may be a dependable person, but it doesn’t mean that you always have to be available. Learn to say no to others and yes to yourself. This will help you to have the time to create moments and memories that bring you joy.

Appreciate Nature

Sitting outside at a park to embrace simplicity

Take some time, if not daily, but weekly to enjoy nature. Step outside, embrace the simplicity of nature. Take a walk in your neighborhood. Go to the park. Sit on your balcony or take a stroll through your garden. The fresh air and the calming beautiful colors will give you the much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of life.

Practice Gratitude

Take some time every day and think about what you can be grateful for. By focusing and embracing the simplicity in your everyday life, you will learn contentment and appreciate the small things.

Unstructured Time

You don’t have to feel every space in your schedule with something to do. Take advantage of that and leave room for spontaneity. You’ll be surprised what you may find that you never thought you would enjoy.

By embracing simplicity, you will find out what truly matters and enjoy the little things in life. It’s some thing you will have to work at. But don’t be surprised when eventually, you’ll understand that less is truly more
