3 Basic Steps To Organize Your Day

Whether you work from home, are a parent, travel to work, or in college, we all struggle to balance our day. To keep it simple, there are 3 steps you can take to organize your day.

3 basic Steps To Organize Your Day

Write A To Do List

Keep it simple! Just take some time before your day starts to write down things like appointments, cleaning, cooking, or deadlines at work. This will put you in the right frame of mind to tackle your day.

TIP: If you want to be even more proactive, write a list for the next day so that you don’t have to do it in the morning.

Control What You Can

Time is hard to balance especially if we have a family to take care of. One kid may have soccer practice, the other has ballet, and then your youngest has piano lessons. Where can you find the time????

He aware of time in order to organize your day.

Although it may seem challenging it is not impossible. Don’t expect perfection from yourself

You don’t have to be overly strict, allow time for errors or delay. There are so many things that we don’t have control of like traffic, getting sick, a flat tire, or family emergencies.

Just focus on what you can control!

Schedule Time For “ME”

This is such an important part to your day. I have other blogs such as 15 Ways To Help You Relax and 7 Everyday Self Care Ideas if you need some ideas on what to do for your “me” time.

A cup of coffee 15 minutes before any one wakes up.

In a nutshell, even a small amount of “ME” time, such as 15 minutes, will make a difference. If it’s in the morning, it will set the tone for your day. If it’s midday or in the evening you will have something to look forward to. It will make the mundane tasks that you have to do not seem so “mundane”.

You may be thinking I don’t even have 15 minutes. But no matter who you are or what you do there is some time in the day where we can take some sort of break.

Even if it’s to step outside and take a breath of fresh air. We all need a daily mental break to help us keep going.

By keeping in mind these 3 basic steps, it will help you to create a balance in your day, that you can modify if and when your circumstances were to change.
